A pump is specified from several directions at once: the physics that move the liquid, the liquid itself, the way the machine sits in the plant, and the cost of a particular failure. KanBeng keeps those directions as separate axes so a buyer can enter from the language they actually have — “sewage, submersible, cannot clog” — instead of pretending they already know the series code.

The working-principle blocks are the engineering backbone. Buyer paths underneath them are the sentences that show up in first emails. Technical filters and industry nodes are for teams who already know the process. Alias terms exist because search engines still see “trash pump” more often than “non-clog submersible sewage pump”.

Pick an entrance, then finish on a record

  1. If you know the series (ISG, WQ, CQB), open the model-series path and then confirm the envelope on the model record.
  2. If you know the liquid, start with medium. Chlorides, solids, temperature and vapour pressure still have to be written into the RFQ.
  3. If you know the disaster you cannot afford — leak, clog, dry run — use the failure-risk path, then add materials and protection in the RFQ rather than treating the node as a specification.
  4. If you only have an industry name, use it as a shortlist, not as a design code. Two plants in the same industry can require opposite seal plans.

Classification is a map, not a selection program. Empty nodes still exist so the taxonomy stays complete; they are not proof that KanBeng has a stocked equivalent. Always finish on a model record or an RFQ.

Questions buyers actually ask

Why are there both “buyer paths” and “technical classification”?

Buyers describe liquids, installation and fear of failure. Engineers describe principle, drive and structure. Both views point at the same families so neither side has to learn the other vocabulary first.

Does a node with zero models mean that pump type is unavailable from China?

No. It means we have not yet published a normalized record in that node. Use the RFQ and name the duty; do not treat an empty node as a market study.

Are Chinese series names interchangeable between factories?

No. Shared series labels are a sourcing convenience. Geometry, impeller trim, materials and test grade still vary. Comparison and the manufacturer curve remain mandatory.

How should I use industry nodes?

As a way to see which families are commonly applied in that environment. Then specify the liquid, installation, documents and test standard. Industry is not a material code.
