KanBeng is an industrial pump intelligence index. The English site exists so overseas buyers can inspect Chinese pump families, factory records and selection caveats before they send a drawing package or a purchase order. It is not a marketplace storefront, not a test laboratory and not a substitute for the manufacturer-issued curve.
- What a record is
- A normalized index card with source status, not a certified datasheet.
- What a listing is not
- Not an endorsement, agency appointment or product warranty.
- What we route
- Reviewed RFQs to selected factories. No public lead broadcast.
Start with the decision, not the brand name
Most failed China pump purchases share the same sequence: a model code is copied from an old nameplate, three factories quote “equivalent” units, and nobody marks the duty point on a curve that matches the offered impeller. KanBeng is built to interrupt that sequence.
Use classification when you still need the family. Use factory records when you need to see who actually makes that family. Use guides when you need the questions that belong in the RFQ. Use comparison only after two or more model records exist.
- Classification maps buyer language onto engineering axes.
- Factory records separate public claims from KanBeng evidence review.
- Guides are procurement notes, not design calculations.
- RFQs are desk-reviewed before any supplier introduction.
The three documents we never replace
An index can make suppliers comparable. It cannot accept liability for hydraulic fit, material compatibility or statutory compliance. Before an order is placed, the controlling documents remain the manufacturer curve for the offered impeller, the material and seal schedule, and the named test standard with tolerance.
Questions buyers actually ask
Is KanBeng a trading company?
No. We index pump data and review sourcing requests. We do not take title to equipment or issue performance bonds.
Can I treat a model page as the bid document?
No. Ask the bidder to mark your duty point on its own issued curve and to confirm materials, seal faces and test tolerance in writing.
Why do some factory records say source pending?
The profile was assembled from supplier or public material and has not completed the KanBeng evidence checklist. The label describes our review, not product quality.
Do paid listings change evidence status?
No. Placement or profile expansion can be commercial. Evidence labels are editorial and can move down as well as up when facts change.
