Separate the process requirement from the part you are buying

Hubei Tianmen Tianbiao Pump Co., Ltd. publishes rubber-lined and metal slurry pumps, vertical sump and froth arrangements, filter-press feed pumps, S/SH split-case water pumps, IS clean-water pumps and D/DG multistage listings. Its catalogue also breaks assemblies into impellers, liners, casings, shaft sleeves, expellers, seal-water rings and bearing components. A page carrying a complete pump model may therefore be selling one component rather than a ready-to-run package.

For a new installation, describe the liquid and the duty across the process cycle. For a replacement, begin with the installed nameplate, drawing revision and measured interfaces. Request a quotation that distinguishes the bare pump, motor and drive, base/guard, seal services and commissioning spares. The published company name is 湖北省天门天标泵业有限公司; use that exact entity when defining the contracting and document requirements.

Resolve the S suffix and flow value before sizing a replacement

Tianbiao’s 250S-39A page describes a horizontal, single-stage double-suction split-case pump for clean water or liquids with similar physical and chemical properties. The horizontal split allows access to the rotor by removing the upper casing; the page says the inlet/outlet piping and motor need not be moved for this work. Reserve lifting and maintenance access above the casing and confirm the arrangement on the supplied drawing.

The page identifies a 250 mm inlet, 200 mm outlet and an A suffix for an impeller trim. It lists 31 m head and a 55 kW motor, but gives two different flows: 468 m³/h in the structured table and 485 m³/h in the narrative. It also gives speed as 1,450–1,480 rpm. These statements are useful for identifying the listing, but they do not establish one approved operating point. Obtain a single curve with the exact trimmed diameter, speed, liquid and required duty marked on it.

The narrative lists cast iron, a standard packing seal with mechanical-seal options, and liquid temperature not exceeding 80°C. It describes anticlockwise rotation viewed from the motor towards the pump. Match rotation, inlet/outlet positions, seal arrangement, shaft/coupling and base dimensions to the installed station. A model ending in 39 does not mean that the trimmed A version must deliver 39 m at your flow.

For an IS requirement, Tianbiao publishes IS150-125-315 and other clean-water listings. The available IS text also contains broad chemical/corrosive-liquid descriptions without a corresponding material schedule. Ask for the actual wetted material and seal compatibility rather than treating an IS label as approval for seawater, solvent or an acidic process.

Match the rubber wet end to the particles and the old assembly

The ZBD150-100-400R listing shows a horizontal, single-suction rubber-lined slurry direction and a selection of liners, impellers and front/rear plates. It describes packing, expeller-plus-packing and mechanical-seal alternatives, with direct, belt, reducer and other speed-control arrangements. Specify the whole wet-end and seal bill of materials, the drive and the offered speed; a rubber casing liner alone does not define every part touching the liquid.

Here too the published values differ. The short introduction states 250 m³/h while the structured table states 260 m³/h; both show 50 m head. The table lists 150 mm suction, 100 mm discharge, 2 mm maximum particle size and 3 m NPSH allowance. Confirm these against the selected curve and the actual slurry, with its temperature, density, concentration basis, particle-size distribution and chemistry. In particular, a trade description mentioning sand does not approve every coarse-particle feed.

For replacement liners and impellers, provide the complete original model and suffix, casing/liner interfaces, impeller diameter, shaft attachment and front/rear clearances. Agree the rubber compound and which mating components will be reused. The site’s comparative wear-life and general replacement claims do not establish a fixed service life or interchangeability with a different manufacturer’s pump.

The description cites the old GB5656-1994 edition. The official national catalogue lists GB/T 5656-2008 as current, replacing the 1994 edition from 1 March 2009. Define the required standard edition and test scope in the offer; a historical reference on a product page is not a current conformity certificate.

Use the installation drawing to distinguish LP and PM duties

Tianbiao’s 40P-LP listing also carries the name 40YXZB-200. Its described installation places the wet end below the liquid and the motor above the sump on a support platform, connected by a long shaft. The structured table lists high-chromium material, 10–30 m³/h and 20 m head, but provides no complete curve for the offered speed. Use those as catalogue identification values while obtaining the actual selection.

Send the platform elevation, pit dimensions, lowest and highest levels, wet-end length, pipe route, solids and available lifting space. Ask for the actual bearing/support and seal arrangement on the drawing. Submerging the wet end does not by itself approve operation with an empty pit, guarantee gas-tight containment or make an assembly suitable for every volatile liquid.

The 100R-PM flotation-froth listing takes a different route: a steel hopper with a tangential inlet and an overflow box returning excess feed to the source pool. Its table lists 100 m³/h and 25 m. Specify whether the required feed rate includes entrained air, the feed variability and the expected hopper level. Agree inlet/overflow elevations and return routing with the pump, drive and curve; those interfaces are central to the package.

The PM description names several shared horizontal wet-end and vertical drive-part families. Some references differ between paragraphs. For a spare, obtain an exact drawing/part number and dimensional confirmation rather than assuming all named families interchange. Similarly, its statement about low incoming feed does not authorise unlimited dry operation.

Order the press-feed assembly and its wear parts separately

The 65TBYL-450 page describes a press-feed pump using an impeller/back-plate labyrinth clearance, impeller back vanes, an expeller/packing arrangement and a dismantling ring. These are relevant to slurry entering the stuffing-box area and to future disassembly. Ask for the exact seal arrangement, seal-water requirements, shaft sleeve and dismantling details supplied with your unit, including any change to a mechanical seal.

Tianbiao’s parts catalogue uses ZBYL, YQYL and related names alongside TBYL. One recent page is titled “40YQYL-250 pump casing” but its narrative calls the item an impeller and lists whole-pump flow, head and power. That is a scope conflict, not a specification for a standalone casting. Order against the component drawing and bill-of-materials position; do not use a part photograph to confirm the full assembly’s performance.

For press sizing, give the initial fill rate, press volume, final feed pressure, slurry density/concentration changes, expected cycle time and control/stopping method. Obtain the selected curve and motor-loading limits throughout that cycle. The 65TBYL page does not supply a complete verified pressure/flow curve, so the supplier should identify the actual build rather than borrowing the maximum head from a parts listing.

  1. Identify the installed assembly

Photograph the nameplate and retain the model suffix, drawing revision and original part number; distinguish casing, liner, impeller and expeller.

  2. Check the mating dimensions

Supply flange/bolt details, shaft and sleeve interfaces, impeller/liner fits, material and the reused components.

  3. Agree the deliverable

Ask for the approved drawing, material/inspection records and quantity, plus any assembly or pressure test appropriate to the component—not a generic whole-pump claim.

Specify the D stage arrangement and its services together

Tianbiao lists D155-30*4 under its D/DG category. The page describes horizontal, segmented multistage construction with tie bolts connecting the suction, intermediate and discharge sections, and a rotor containing impellers, sleeves and a balance disc. It states a family envelope of 4–850 m³/h and 19–816 m. Those values span multiple stage counts and impeller arrangements; they are not the duty of D155-30*4.

The text describes axial thrust taken by the balance disc and permitted axial rotor movement. For replacement work, ask for the balance-disc and mating-seat details, wear clearances and axial setting procedure. The bearing description includes alternatives, so require the actual bearing arrangement and lubrication instruction for the delivered pump, rather than applying one generic instruction to every configuration.

The same page describes water-cooling cavities at the packing box and bearing housing, centre support and packing or mechanical seals. Confirm which features belong to the proposed build and whether cooling water is required at your liquid temperature. Ask for the service pressure, flow and connections, motor supply, mounting dimensions and rotation; the listed direction is clockwise viewed from the drive end. A D/DG menu heading alone does not establish a certified boiler-feed package or an allowable hot-water temperature.

Prepare the drawing, duty and acceptance requirements for a pump RFQ →

Give Tianbiao one consistent duty, suffix and supply boundary

Use the exact factory name in the platform enquiry and say whether you want a new process pump, an installed-water-pump replacement or individual slurry wear parts. Define the quantity, destination and package boundary. Request one consistent model/revision across the curve, outline, material schedule and supplied inspection documents.

For recurring spares, agree which interfaces must remain interchangeable and which materials may change. For a new assembly, define performance and acceptance at the actual liquid conditions, together with the required auxiliary services. Confirm lead time and support for your destination in the quotation; a catalogue heading saying stock available is not a verified delivery commitment.
