Define the chemical preparation, dosing pump and control sequence together

Lianyungang Jia Tong Pump Co., Ltd.

Jia Tong’s catalogue spans individual metering pumps and complete dosing assemblies. Separate liquid injection from powder preparation, compare pump constructions, and specify the tank-to-injection piping and control sequence before choosing a photographed package.

Choose a dosing package around the process, not the pump label

Lianyungang Jia Tong identifies itself as 连云港佳通泵业有限公司, with a listed base in Guannan, Lianyungang, Jiangsu. Its company introduction combines diaphragm metering pumps, dosing equipment, installation and treatment-system services. The product catalogue includes individual plunger and diaphragm pumps alongside circulation-water, ammonia, phosphate, boiler and dry-powder dosing packages.

This is useful for a buyer who needs more than a replacement pump: a tank, mixing stage, dosing lines and control panel must work together. Separate pump supply, skid assembly, site pipework, instrumentation and commissioning in the quotation. The company’s broad water-treatment service list does not define the contents of any one photographed package.

Liquid dosing, powder preparation and enclosure solve different tasks

The catalogue gives each of the following a separate product page. Use those names to explain the required duty, then specify the chemistry and interfaces. A photograph establishes the illustrated arrangement; it does not establish tank volume, delivery pressure, material grade or the control sequence.

Procurement distinctions based on separate catalogue directions; no combined capacity or standard package configuration is implied.

Ask for the exact pump construction inside the skid

The individual-pump catalogue distinguishes J-X and J-Z plunger pumps, J-XM and J-TM hydraulic diaphragm pumps, GB/GM/J-WM mechanical diaphragm pumps and an electromagnetic diaphragm category. These names describe different constructions; they are not interchangeable settings on a single pump.

For a plunger proposal, ask for the wetted materials, packing arrangement, expected maintenance access and leakage handling for the chemical. For a diaphragm proposal, confirm how the diaphragm is driven, the valve materials and the response to diaphragm failure. Identify any required detection, containment or redundancy in the specification rather than assuming it from the family name.

Jia Tong’s product photographs include different heads, adjustment controls and driver arrangements. Request the exact order designation and a model-specific flow-versus-pressure table, together with stroke/speed control and motor details. Select the required dosing rate at the actual injection pressure; never combine a broad article’s maximum flow with its maximum pressure.

A timer is different from a process measurement

The company’s PAC dosing article describes a timed programme with dosing period, run duration and frequency, as well as manual or instrument-linked control options. Its circulation-water article discusses corrosion, scaling and biological deposits. A dosing cycle alone does not decide the chemical treatment: the process designer must supply the target treatment and control variable.

For a cooling-water request, provide makeup and blowdown behaviour and explain whether dosing follows a timer, water flow, a measured treatment variable or an operator command. For coagulation or polymer preparation, identify the recipe and solution-preparation sequence separately from injection. PAC and PAM are different chemical duties; the article’s mixed terminology must not become one combined recipe.

Agree the I/O list, signal type, manual/automatic changeover, low-level response, pump-fault alarm and restart behaviour. State whether standby equipment is included and what continues operating during a refill. Request a demonstrated control sequence for the ordered skid rather than assuming a generic “automatic” label means the required automation.

Include suction, calibration and discharge protection

A complete dosing installation runs from the supply tank to the injection point. For Jia Tong’s multi-line skid examples, provide tank level range, elevation, suction-line length, pipe sizes, chemical viscosity and the number of pumps drawing from each tank. Check whether simultaneous pump demand affects the shared supply.

Hydraulic Institute guidance treats inlet and outlet piping as part of controlled-volume metering performance. Prepare a piping review that identifies calibration provisions, overpressure protection, required backpressure and pulsation control. These are separate functions; a discharge check valve is not a complete substitute for the other accessories.

Ask the proposal to identify the calibration method and test conditions at the actual operating pressure. Compare minimum, normal and maximum requested dose rates using the same chemical or an agreed test liquid. Specify the acceptance method and instruments; no metering-accuracy percentage is assumed for every pump in this catalogue.

Use the photographs to ask for access and handover drawings

The official catalogue shows open skids with tanks and access platforms, compact multi-pump assemblies and enclosed packages. Compare the proposed general-arrangement drawing with the site: door clearance, lifting route, pump-removal space, tank filling, electrical access and drainage all affect installation.

Agree which pipework, supports, field instruments and cables are factory fitted and which are site work. Request chemical-compatible component specifications, the piping and instrument diagram, electrical drawings, operating instructions and a spare-parts list tied to the selected pumps. A tank visible in a photograph does not prove its material, usable volume or compatibility with a different chemical.

For maintenance, identify isolation and flushing arrangements, access to dosing valves and the parts needed to restore a dosing line. Document the chemical-change procedure and permitted cleaning materials. Use the selected equipment instructions for tank care and chemical handling; do not apply generic website maintenance statements to every assembly.

Send a chemical-and-control brief with the dosing requirement

For a Jia Tong enquiry, prepare one brief for each chemical or preparation line. Ask the quotation to distinguish the pump, liquid-preparation equipment, skid piping, controls and site services. The following inputs allow a package proposal and a pump-only proposal to be compared on the same basis.

Prepare a structured pump and package enquiry →

Chemical and preparation

  • Chemical name, concentration, density, viscosity and operating temperature.
  • Liquid delivery or dry-powder preparation; required solution concentration, mixing and holding sequence.
  • Tank refill method, usable storage requirement and compatibility/containment requirements.

Injection and control

  • Minimum, normal and maximum dosing rates at each actual injection pressure.
  • Tank elevations, pipe routes, injection points and any shared suction arrangement.
  • Control trigger, signal types, duty/standby philosophy and low-level/fault responses.

Installation and acceptance

  • General arrangement, enclosure, access, lifting, power supply and site conditions.
  • Piping diagram with calibration, pressure protection and agreed accessories.
  • Model-specific test record, control demonstration, spare parts and supply/site-work boundaries.
