Decide where the pump sits and how it receives liquid
Dongguan Subao Pump Co., Ltd. uses the Chinese name 东莞市塑宝泵业有限公司. Its company page describes chemical-transfer pumps and chemical-liquid filtration equipment for plating, coating, etching and wastewater-related processes. The pump catalogue includes SL and SDK self-priming equipment, TD vertical pumps and CM magnetic-drive pumps. These construction choices matter more than the broad label “acid and alkali resistant”.
A floor-mounted pump drawing from a lower tank must establish and maintain prime. A vertical pump requires the correct tank mounting and immersed length. A CM magnetic pump needs a liquid-filled inlet and is not self-priming. Draw the tank, minimum liquid level, pump elevation and piping before asking for a quote; these details determine whether the advertised pump arrangement fits the process.
| Tank or transfer task | Candidate direction | Resolve in the offer |
|---|---|---|
| Draw from a lower tank | SL or SDK self-priming | Liquid retained for priming, suction lift, valve arrangement and inlet losses |
| Circulate from a tank-mounted position | TD vertical | Tank mount, shaft/immersed length, liquid levels and pipe loads |
| Liquid-filled chemical transfer | CM magnetic-drive | Flooded/primed inlet, bearing materials and dry-run protection |
| Circulation through a filter | Chemical pump plus filtration equipment | Flow as the filter loads, pressure limits and isolation/draining scope |
Specify the complete wetted assembly, not just “plastic”
The SL code distinguishes FRPP, CFRPP, CPVC and PVDF constructions. Its material guidance states temperatures below 85°C for FRPP/CFRPP, below 90°C for PVDF and below 70°C for CPVC, depending on the chemical properties. SDK is presented as PVDF; TD and CM also list polymer options. These are catalogue limits, not approval for every chemical at the highest stated temperature.
Provide every principal chemical, concentration, normal and upset temperature, contamination, solids and whether the pump sees cleaning solutions. Include density and viscosity at operating temperature. Confirm the wetted body, impeller, shaft/bearing parts, elastomers and seal materials together. A PVDF body with an unsuitable O-ring or bearing is not a complete compatibility specification.
CM’s introductory FRPP limit is 75°C, while later generic material text mentions 85°C. Use a configuration-specific confirmed limit in the purchase rather than promoting the higher number. Similarly, SD’s broad claim about acids and solvents at any concentration should not substitute for an actual compatibility check.

The SL code determines the priming arrangement and seal build
SL’s designation includes inlet/outlet size, horsepower, motor poles, elastomer, a valve-flap option, low/high head, seal specification, frequency and standard/special construction. Its code key lists 40, 50 and 75 mm connections and separate 50/60 Hz suffixes. Send the complete code rather than asking for an unspecified SL equivalent.
The instructions specifically say the 3-inch size needs the valve-flap version to have self-priming capability. The published 20 ft priming statement is a catalogue envelope; request the attainable lift and priming time for your liquid temperature, suction line and lowest tank level. The inlet must stay sealed against air leakage, and strainer pressure loss belongs in the suction calculation.
The page describes a mechanical seal with an internal cooling circulation path that uses liquid retained in the pump. It also recommends electrical protection against dry running. Retained-liquid seal cooling should not be interpreted as permission for unrestricted operation with an empty casing. Agree priming fill, low-level shutdown and the operating procedure for the offered build.
The SL dimensional table lists an SL40022L with K 710 and N 320, while the SL50052H row lists K 715 and N 362. These drawing references illustrate why nominal connection size is insufficient for replacement fit. Obtain the complete matching drawing, with dimensions and units confirmed, before drilling foundations or reusing a coupling.
Order SDK for the actual frequency and curve
The SDK specification image lists separate 50 Hz and 60 Hz columns. For SDK40032H, the 50 Hz row gives 25 m head and 400 L/min capacity; the 60 Hz columns give 28 m and 410 L/min. SDK75052H lists 27 m and 800 L/min at 50 Hz, compared with 35 m and 860 L/min at 60 Hz. These are published catalogue fields: the image does not establish that each head and flow figure is a simultaneous duty point.
The SDK75052H row also specifies a three-phase, two-pole, 5 HP motor and 75/75 mm connections. Confirm the complete motor voltage, frequency and protection specification and request the curve with your required flow/head marked. The page’s introductory 7–27 m range does not cover every listed 60 Hz head value; use the frequency-specific model data rather than blending the two frequencies into one envelope.
For a wastewater or plating transfer, describe gas entrainment and solids as well as chemistry. “Wastewater self-priming” does not establish an allowable particle size, abrasive loading or dry-running interval. Include a suction sketch and agree a strainer and protection arrangement that still permits the required duty.
| SDK model | 50 Hz listed head / capacity | 60 Hz listed head / capacity |
|---|---|---|
| 40032H | 25 m / 400 L/min | 28 m / 410 L/min |
| 50052H | 26 m / 450 L/min | 34 m / 550 L/min |
| 75052H | 27 m / 800 L/min | 35 m / 860 L/min |

Use the TD-SK table with its stated liquid-density basis
TD’s specification image identifies TD-40SK through TD-65SK variants and marks specific gravity 1.1. The TD-50SK-3 row lists 65×50 mm inlet/outlet, 3 HP, 21 m head and 530 L/min flow; TD-65SK-7.5 lists 80×65 mm, 7.5 HP, 34 m and 1,100 L/min. The image does not print a frequency or demonstrate that its head and flow columns are paired operating points. Request a confirmed curve and electrical rating for the actual process.
The TD page gives both a 37 m headline upper limit and a 35 m figure in later introductory text. Its image includes a TD-65SK-10 row with 37 m, but that does not establish the rating of another TD construction or the performance at maximum flow. Specify the complete offered code and resolve the duty on its own curve.
For tank installation, provide normal and minimum levels, top-plate or bracket dimensions, immersion/shaft length, tank depth and return/inlet positions. Agree supports so piping does not load the plastic pump body. Request the actual permissible dry-running conditions and duration, bearing and sealing arrangement, low-level control and maintenance withdrawal space; the TD “can run dry” title is not an unlimited operating guarantee.

Magnetic drive changes the sealing arrangement and operating constraints
The CM designation selects polymer body, connection size, horsepower, low/high-head version, shaft material, frequency, elastomer and bearing. The code key includes SSIC, titanium and ceramic shaft choices, with carbon, RULON and SSIC bearing choices. Compare the whole wetted and bearing assembly for the liquid, rather than assuming that all CM pumps share one construction.
The CM instructions say the pump is not self-priming and that dry running can seize or rapidly wear parts. They also limit frequent starts to no more than six per hour. Include a liquid-filled inlet, loss-of-flow/level protection and a control sequence appropriate to the selected pump. Request the permitted operating range and the consequences of a blocked line from the supplied manual.
Its parameter table explicitly labels maximum head and maximum capacity separately. For CM402H it lists 20 m maximum head and 400 L/min maximum capacity at 50 Hz, and 23 m / 485 L/min at 60 Hz. Do not combine either pair into a quoted working point. Solids, density and viscosity also affect the selection; a special bearing exception in generic instructions is not blanket approval to use every CM pump on abrasive slurry.
Ask for the complete circuit and keep channel claims separate
If the pump circulates through a filter, specify the clean and loaded-filter pressure drops, required process circulation, bypass arrangement, filter medium and cleaning/replacement procedure. Subao’s company page lists plating and chemical-liquid filters alongside pumps. Decide whether the quotation covers only a pump, a pump/filter assembly or the valves, tank and controls needed for the whole circuit.
The company published a January 2019 notice about unauthorised online sellers. A third-party listing or a familiar product image therefore does not establish current authorised supply. Put the exact Chinese entity and the full pump configuration on the quotation and request nameplate, material, curve, drawing and maintenance documentation. KanBeng’s profile is procurement research and does not establish an agency relationship.
Confirm included motor, base or tank mount, seals/bearings, guards, valves, instruments, spares and installation/commissioning. Agree the performance test on the selected configuration and chemical service conditions. Catalogue advertising about stock, free shipping, large customers or response times is not a substitute for the delivery terms in your own offer.
