Drainage and irrigation stations, clean-water pumps and liquid-specific service

Hubei Xingyu Pump Co., Ltd.

Start a drainage-station enquiry with the inner and outer water levels. Xingyu’s HW, ZLB/ZLQ and S/SH routes have different layouts, speeds and maintenance needs; a large catalogue flow figure cannot choose the station for you.

The pump supplier and station designer need an agreed interface

Hubei Xingyu Pump Co., Ltd. identifies itself as 湖北兴雨泵业股份有限公司 in Wuxue, Hubei. Its introduction lists pump development, production, sales and service, including foundry, machining, heat-treatment, assembly and performance-testing work. Those company descriptions identify the offered manufacturing direction; they do not determine a particular order’s capacity, test scope or inspection access.

The current site gives a new-site location on Guangji Avenue in Wuxue. A February 2024 procurement notice uses an older address on Kanjiang Avenue. Confirm the contracting entity and current production/inspection location on the quotation and documents rather than treating either address as a witnessed factory audit.

For a station, separate the pump-and-driver package from intake works, discharge pipework, civil foundations, gates, electrical installation and commissioning. For a replacement, use the installed nameplate, dimensions and operating records to establish the exact assembly required.

Flood-drainage head changes when either side of the station changes

Xingyu’s drainage-station article distinguishes the inner river or drainage-channel inlet level from the receiving river’s outlet level. It also discusses lowering the inner water level before a storm. That action increases available drainage storage but can increase the lift the pump must overcome; it affects equipment selection as well as operation.

Send the normal, lowest and highest inlet and receiving-water levels with the required flow at each relevant condition. Add intake and discharge losses, pipe lengths, valve/gate arrangements and the intended number of operating pumps. Agree the operating range with the station designer, not only one nominal head.

The catalogue’s horizontal HW mixed-flow and vertical ZLB/ZLQ axial-flow choices should be assessed against those water levels and the intake layout. Identify the suction arrangement, minimum submergence or permitted suction lift, driver location and retrieval access on the selected drawing. High flow at low head is a station requirement, not proof that every listed pump fits it.

A change in speed or impeller changes the complete HW selection

The HW entry describes a horizontal, single-stage, single-suction volute mixed-flow pump for clean water or similar liquid, with liquid temperature not above 50°C. Its designation example identifies the connection diameter, design head and an A suffix for an impeller change. The product table gives complete model rows, so a buyer can compare actual paired points rather than joining separate maximum values.

The three rows below use the same listed flow and speed but different head and motor choices. They illustrate why a 150 mm connection or a common flow figure does not make the pumps interchangeable. Confirm the curve, selected impeller, motor and suction conditions for the installation.

The HW construction description also distinguishes the bearing arrangement for smaller and larger connection sizes and explains the role of packing in preventing air entry and excessive leakage. Specify the exact bearing/shaft-seal parts and maintenance clearances when ordering a replacement. Do not apply one catalogue adjustment instruction to a different-sized assembly.

Blade adjustment and drive geometry belong in the station order

The ZLB/Q entry describes a single-stage vertical axial-flow pump for clean water or similar liquid, at a stated maximum liquid temperature of 50°C. It distinguishes B as partly adjustable blades and Q as fully adjustable blades. The exact adjustment arrangement and operating procedure must be specified with the pump and driver.

The performance table lists blade-angle ranges and, for some models, more than one speed and motor option. Those grouped ranges are not paired operating points. Request curves for the proposed speed and blade setting across the station’s high and low water-level conditions, together with the permitted operating range and motor load.

Confirm the intake/bellmouth, discharge elbow, bearing and shaft assemblies, motor elevation, support loads and retrieval method from the installation drawing. Maintenance access and the adjustment mechanism are particularly important when replacing an existing vertical unit. A single series-wide flow ceiling cannot establish an installed station capacity.

Split-case access differs from an IS or YB replacement

The S entry describes a horizontal single-stage, double-suction split-case pump for clean water or similar liquid, with a stated maximum liquid temperature of 80°C. Its inlet and outlet lie below the shaft centreline; the casing can be opened for maintenance without removing the connected pipes and driver. Confirm opening clearance, lifting provision, coupling and base dimensions for the actual unit.

The S table gives 250S39 at 485 m³/h and 39 m head, 1,450 r/min, with a 75 kW motor; its 250S39A row gives 468 m³/h at 30.5 m and a 55 kW motor at the same speed. These are different catalogue configurations. The A suffix does not mean the untrimmed curve or driver can be reused unchanged.

The separate S and SH descriptions specify different standard rotation directions when viewed from the coupling towards the pump; SH also mentions a special-order alternative. State that viewing direction, required rotation and inlet/outlet orientation on the replacement drawing. Similar split-case construction does not make S and SH assemblies interchangeable.

IS is presented as a single-stage, axial-suction clean-water pump with rear access and ISO 2858 performance/dimensional conventions. YB is separately listed as a clean-water centrifugal direction. For an existing installation, provide the connection orientation, available rear withdrawal space and exact nameplate. A claimed dimensional convention is not a certificate and does not prove that a replacement will fit without checking the drawing.

The liquid or gas brief changes the seals and auxiliary systems

The IH description concerns a cantilever chemical centrifugal pump for corrosive or contamination-sensitive liquid with viscosity similar to water. It gives a normal temperature range of −20 to 105°C and discusses additional cooling for higher-temperature service. Provide chemistry, concentration, density, temperature, solids and inlet conditions, and request the exact wetted materials, seal arrangement and cooling plan. Do not assume the example material code applies to every IH pump.

The QW page lists fixed automatic coupling and movable sewage-pump installation, leakage and motor-temperature inputs, and optional controls. Specify actual solids/fibres, wet-well levels, cable route, retrieval method and alarm/trip connections. Confirm a pump-specific curve and passage specification; generic clog-free and long-life wording is not a guarantee for the site’s wastewater.

The SZ water-ring vacuum description requires gas composition and suitability for a water-based working liquid. It explains continuous cooling/make-up water and gas-water separation or recirculation. An enquiry should state required absolute suction pressure, gas flow and temperature, condensable load, service-water temperature and the separator/recirculation boundary. Water-ring construction alone does not establish hazardous-gas approval; specify the applicable equipment requirements with the responsible process designer.

A public award record supports identity, not completed performance

The Xiangyin county government’s February 2024 award notice names 湖北兴雨泵业股份有限公司 as the selected supplier for small drought-relief pumping-station electromechanical equipment under its 2023 farmland programme. The public notice leaves brands and model specifications to the bid and procurement documents. It is evidence of that award, not proof of completed installation, measured efficiency or suitability for another project.

For the proposed order, agree the hydraulic test points, test speed, driver data, material/part identification, installation drawing, maintenance instructions and witnessed inspection scope. Request current company documents with matching entity, site and issuer status separately. Archived staffing, export-market and award statements do not define delivery capacity or overseas service coverage.

Build a brief that can produce a specific pump-and-driver selection

Attach the station layout and water-level cases for drainage or irrigation, or the existing nameplate and dimensions for a replacement. State the equipment and installation boundary, destination requirements and acceptance documents. Use one operating case at a time so the supplier can return a specific curve and configuration.
