The manufacturer describes large impeller passages for solids of 5–125 mm, depending on the selected pump. This is a range across the family, not a 125 mm guarantee for every frame. Applications include municipal sewage, rainwater, industrial or agricultural wastewater and raw-water transfer. Corrosive duties require an appropriate special material selection.
Installation choices include a fixed wet-well arrangement with guide rails and an automatic coupling, a fixed dry arrangement, and mobile deployment. A cooling jacket supports the dry or exposed-motor arrangement described in the catalog, but the manufacturer specifically excludes pumps below 15 kW from that cooling-system provision. Dry operation must therefore be confirmed for the actual model.
The catalog describes overload, leakage, temperature, moisture and water-ingress monitoring, together with level control. High-temperature wear-resistant and explosion-protected pumps appear separately in the appendices. Their different operating limits are not applied to the standard QW family on this page.
