The manufacturer positions ECP for evaporation loops needing more head than a typical axial-flow arrangement. Examples include two heating chambers in series, multi-pass circuits, more viscous liquids and other higher-resistance loops. Selection should use the actual system-loss calculation at operating temperature.
The catalog lists connection sizes from 150 to 800 mm across the family; the ECP250 designation identifies a 250 mm size. The flow and head range spans several models and does not represent one pump operating at all maxima together. Confirm the selected speed and curve before choosing the drive.
Material options include cast steel, stainless 304 and 316L, and duplex constructions. Corrosive or solids-bearing service requires a specific material and sealing assessment. The cantilever assembly, pipe support and maintenance clearance should be checked against the evaporator layout and thermal-expansion conditions.
