Submersible sewage pumps are the most commonly under-specified export enquiry KanBeng sees. The series name WQ travels widely. The duty does not. If you only send a head and a flow, you will be quoted a wet-end that cannot pass your solids and a motor that cannot survive your starts.
Name the solids and the fibres
Maximum sphere size, fibre length, ragging risk and whether you need a cutter, a vortex impeller or a non-clog channel impeller are different offers. “Sewage” includes everything from settled municipal waste to construction slurry. Those are not one impeller.
Installation is part of the machine
Guide rails, duck-foot elbow, auto-coupling, cooling jacket for dry-pit use, explosion-proof motor, cable length and entry gland are not accessories you can add later without redrawing the bid. State wet-well or dry-well. State whether the pump will sit in a portable frame.
Electrical survival
Starts per hour, voltage, frequency, start method, moisture probes in the oil chamber and stator, and how those probes will be wired to a panel. A motor that is “IP68” on a catalog line can still be wound for the wrong voltage.
What to inspect
Ask how the factory tests hydraulics on a submersible — in a pit, with a cooling shroud, or not at all. Ask for insulation-resistance records after the hydrostatic immersion they claim. Paint thickness on a dirty-water pump is a preference; winding protection is not.
